Nikah Wedding Film & Videographer in Mumbai

Some moments deserve to be seen in motion: the qazi's recitation, the ijab-o-qubul spoken aloud, the room's reaction the instant the marriage is pronounced. The Wedding Film's cinematography team works alongside our photographers to record nikah, mehndi and walima functions as cinematic film, not just still photographs, for families who want to relive the sound and movement of the day, not only the images.

We deliver two things from every nikah or Muslim wedding we film: a short, shareable highlight film, typically 3 to 5 minutes, edited to music and built for sharing with relatives near and far, and a longer documentary edit that preserves more of the ceremony itself, useful for families who want the fuller recitation and proceedings on record.

More on This

Filming a Nikah With the Right Sensitivity

Filming a nikah calls for the same restraint as photographing one: a small crew, positioned in agreement with the qazi and family beforehand, capturing audio clearly enough that the recitation and vows are legible in the final edit without a camera operator moving around and drawing attention during the ceremony itself.

For walima receptions and mehndi nights, the filming style shifts: more movement, more coverage of the room, music and dance captured with the same energy as the event itself. Because our photography and film teams work together on every wedding, the colour grading between your photo gallery and your film matches, so the two feel like one continuous record of your wedding rather than two separate products.

We also offer a same-day edit for receptions on request, a short film ready to be shown before the evening ends, which many families particularly enjoy at a walima with a large, in-person audience.

Words From Our Couples

The trust of every couple is the heart of what we do. Here is what a few of them have said.

Aisha & Rehan's wedding in Udaipur photographed by The Wedding Film
They captured our palace wedding exactly as it felt, grand yet intimate. Every time we open the album we notice a moment we didn't even know had happened. Truly artists.

From the sunrise temple ceremony to the reception, the team was invisible and everywhere at once. The photographs are heirlooms. We cannot recommend The Wedding Film enough.

We wanted honest, candid photos: no stiff poses. That's exactly what we got. The golden-hour beach images take our breath away every single time.

Questions & Answers

Everything You Might Be Wondering

A few questions couples ask us most about this specific service. Can't find yours? We're always happy to talk.

No. We agree on positioning with the qazi and family beforehand and use a small, unobtrusive crew, so the recitation and ceremony proceed exactly as they would without a camera present.
